Fire of Anatolia

The Fire of Anatolia which is now known as one of the best dance groups of the world has come closer to its dream.

Including a synthesis of hundreds of folkdance figures and music from different regions, The Fire of Anatolia is a unique project that gets its source from Anatolia’s ancient mythological and cultural history. Produced by Mustafa Erdoğan, the group would like to introduce the world the fire that arises from the ancient mosaic of love, culture, history and peace of Anatolia.

Mustafa Erdoğan took the first steps of making this dream real and started the project which was then known as Sultans of The Dance.

Advertisements for the audition were placed in the newspapers. 90 talented young dancers were selected out of 750 applicants, who began to work immediately. They worked night and day under the supervision of dieticians, modern and oriental dance instructors, folkdance experts and music instructors who know this land’s music better than anyone else.

Now with 120 dancers, The Fire of Anatolia will be performs all over the world. The Fire of Anatolia started its world tour in 2002 and since then from Germany to Belgium, Holland to Switzerland, Israel to China, Romania to Qatar, Bulgaria to Jordan, Siberia to Azerbaijan and Japan.

The Fire of Anatolia which brings the rich culture of Anatolia and the magic of dance on tho the scene in a magnificient style, became the first dance group that performed in The Building of China Parliament, the first show that was performed in Bodrum Antique Theatre after 2300 years, and again the first show that was applanded by an audience of four hundred thousand people standing up, in Ereğli, Black Sea. With these firsts, the group was mominated to the Guiness Records Book. The show was planned to be performed abroad after a few performances in Turkey, However, all tickets were already sold months before the performances and on 3 May 2001 it was decided to stay longer within the country. From that date, over 6 million people from all over the world have seen the show.

Fire of Anatolia will be performed at Aspendos Theatre on the 9th, 12th, 16th, 19th, 23rd and 26th of this month so get your tickets sorted out while you still can. It is a fantastic show.

Film Festival

Antalya Altin Portakal (Golden Orange) Film Festival, the first national film festival organized in Turkey celebrates its 44th Anniversary this year.

44th Antalya Altin Portakal and 3rd International Eurasia Film Festivals organized with the cooperation of TURSAK (The Turkish Foundation of Cinema and Audiovisual Culture) and AKSAV (Antalya Foundation for Art and Culture) will be held between October 19 and 28, 2007. This year 2nd Eurasia Film Market is at October 22-25.

An extensive selection of European and Asian movies will be featured at the 3rd International Eurasia Film Festival.

Altin Portakal not only provides leisure time to its participants but also presents a glamorous come-together for cinema professionals and stars from all around the world with its screenings, workshops, red carpet celebrations, Q&A sessions, thematic music concerts and exhibitions related to cinema, and exciting parties.

The films competing at the festival will be screened at Cinebonus Movie Theater at Migros Shopping Mall.
